Photo advisor (paused)
The photo advisor is paused and is not receiving uploads. While it ran, from 2026-06-09 to 2026-07-02, a submitted photo was sent to Google Gemini or OpenAI to read visible labels and model text. The photo itself was never stored — only its file type, its size in bytes, and the text the model reported. Each request also stored a 24-character hash derived from the visitor's IP address, used to enforce an hourly limit. On 2026-09-20 every visitor-linked field in those sixteen records was cleared — the IP-derived hash, the submitted question, the home-setup details, and the photo's file type and size. What remains is the model's reading of the product itself, which is what the three published product profiles were built from.
